entering the same data in several fields

Hi all, I could not find an answer to this in the archives, maybe
someone here can help me find a solution (or bury the issue).

I know that in Excel, if you want to enter the same data in several
cells, but you don't want to type it again and again, you can do the
following:
1. Select (highlight) the range (e.g. A1 to A20)
2. Start typing without selecting a specific cell
3. Press CTRL+ENTER (on the numeric keypad, not RETURN).

I want to do the same in this database I'm filling data into. I just
need to check off the correct checkbox, and sometimes there are up to
20 in a row. That's a lot of arrow-down/spacebar hammering...
I can highlight and copy 5 or 10 fields, but that doesn't really help
me when there are 9 or 11 fields.

My shoulder and hands are aching, *whine* ;-)

I have discovered that I can copy a very long row of the data I need
to replicate. When I paste, only the number of fields I have
highlighted are filled with the data (which is the word Yes, BTW).
This is an adaquate solution.

If you have an even more terrific soulution, do post it.

Happy Holidays,
