last updated time

P: n/a
Hi all,
Scenario:
I have about 10 people using a front end database which only 2 have the
privilege to update the information. This is done by pasting the contents of
a notepad report into a input table via an input subform. When the input
form is closed, the data is then split up and appended to a Store table. The
store table has an extra field which is not appended to which has a default
value of Now() so that the time at which the data was sent to that table is
recorded.

I want the max of date/time displayed on the main form which is bound to the
table so that users can see how old the data they are working with is. I
have added a text box to the form which works OK when the form is opened.
When the data is then updated, the "updated time" on the form remain the
same until the form is closed and then opened again. Refreshing the data by
clicking on records - refresh does nothing at all.

Is there any way that I can get the date/time on the form to update when the
data is updated by either of the people able to do this?

Many thanks in advance,

Mark

Hi, Mark.

"Refresh" does nothing at all because refreshing a text box or form only
displays the data that was available in the recordset when the form was
first opened. If you'd like to see changes made by other users, including
record deletions and additions, then use the "Requery" method on your text
box, instead.

Gunny
