Delete file

How can I test to see if a given file exists in my app directory and
delete it if it does? Also can I rename a file?

Never mind again. It has been a long week combined with the fact that I
shoudl be hospitaklized for as sick as I am right now. Thanks for
tolerating my stupidity.

Name "old" as "new"
Kill "bad"

Is there a way to test for the existance of a file? I cannot find it in
help. I am writing a from that will create a new table. If that table
exists already I want the form to bring it up if not I want the form to
be blank so the user can create a new one.

Thanks,
Joe

do you want to test for a file or a table???

try the msysobjects table to find out if a table exists.

Otherwise, you can always look under "name", "kill" in help to find a
function that shows the existince of a file.

Let me know how you go
