OrderBy In Form Not Working - Access2000

Fez
I'm trying to use OrderBy in the property control on a form. The field I
have is called id_number, field type is numeric, indexed, the form is
reading from a table.

The list is coming up 2,3,4,5,6,1. What gives?

Thank you.

In the Open event procedure of the form:
Me.OrderBy = "id_number"
Me.OrderByOn = True
