Optimizing Access 2002 Data Access Pages

I'm trying to link a Data Access Page in Access 2002 to a query.

This query returns many records and each record involves some
calculation.. therefore taking about 1-2 secs to calculate each row..

I was hoping that by using the grouping functionality I could hide the
details. The user could use the record navigation function to select
the day required and then by pressing the 'plus' button the details
would be calculated and displayed.

However, when opening the page it appears to be calculating all the
values for the entire recordset and therefore being very slow. Is
there anyway I can change this??

I'm hoping that there's a option on either the underlying query or the
Page itself, however I haven't been able to find it.

Many Thanks

Jan Griffiths
