Create .mde from .mdb with code or command line

How do I create a .MDE from a .MDB, in an automated way?

I.e. I want to compile a series of files, created on A97 onto A2000.

Converting to the A2000 version, that's a command line option,
but there is no such option to create a .MDE out of the .MDB and
I can't find vb-code that can do it; although the option is on the menu,
it is not in docmd.runcommand...

Any hints?

Search on .Syscmd 603 here.

This will not convert to a different version of Access afaik...

Michael Kaplan at www.trigeminal.com has an MDE you can use to automatically convert
your MDB from A97 to A2000.

Sorry, wasnt working on A2000...
But did find the right way to use .DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdMakeMDEFile:

Dim NAcc As Access.Application

Set NAcc = CreateObject("Access.Application")
'The following lines simulate accepting the default
'name, clicking Make MDE, and clicking Save
SendKeys MyPath & "{Enter}{Enter}"
SendKeys "{Enter}"
NAcc.DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdMakeMDEFile
Set NAcc = Nothing

Works great in A2k.
Thanks!
