Can't display embedded OLE object as icon

Hi - thanks for reading this...

I have a table with an OLE field and a form that displays it. I've set the
Display Type property to "icon" rather than "content" but it still shows
anything I put in there as the content of the object rather than an icon.

I've looked everywhere and it seems like everyone else has the reverse
problem, which is solved by registering the file type with an OLE server
application... I can't find anyone else having this problem...

Any ideas?
