combo box after update question

OK - I have a feeling the solution to this problem is easy, but I
can't seem to find anything that is working for me. All help is
greatly appreciated ...

I have two combo boxes. If the data I enter in the first combo box
isn't in the list I want it to go and search the second combo box. I
can do that pretty easily. The problem is how do I pass the data I
entered in the first combo box to the second combo box? How do I trap
it to pass it along? It's driving me nuts. This can't be that hard.

Any help?

Thanks!
