I've found this book to be useful:

OLAP cubes, how to make and use them, are usually specific to a
product. SQL OLAP is different then Cognos OLAP, which is different
then Oracle OLAP, which is different then Crystal Decisions OLAP,
which is different then Informix OLAP, which is different then ...
You get the idea.

You'll need to find a group specific to the product you want to work
with.

You may want to start out in the comp.databases.olap newsgroup, which
(if memory serves) is devoted more to the OLAP concept then specifics,
but used to be a pretty good resource. (That was a few years ago
however, so don't take that as "gospel".)
