LIstBox vs Combo Box for looking things up

P: n/a
Am not really clear on differences and preferences for looking up
person / acct by key number using one of these. Preferred - list or
combo? Please explain in detail why.

Thanks!

a) You can type into the text box part of a combo box, you're not forced to
scroll.

b) A combo box takes up no more space on the form than a text box when it is
not dropped down.

Therefore, listboxes are best reserved for shorter lists, lists which can be
displayed in the space available with little or no scrolling.
