database objects

I was looking over the web, trying to see if anyone has ever had the
trouble I'm experiencing and so far no dice. Has anyone ever heard of
someone not being able to view the database objects of an MS access
database (version 2000, 2002)?

This is just a simple database with a start up form/switchboard. But
no matter what I do I cannot view the tables/objects anymore! I
created the darned thing, so it's obviously a simple database :) I
just have no idea what I did to hide the database objects! Now I
can't view them for love nor money! If I remove the start up form, I
see nothing when Access opens that database!

I've gone through options and customize menus thoroughly and put
checks in everything that gives permissions to view objects, system
objects etc, tried the "unhide" option from the window menu.... And
all I can see is the forms that are linked to the switchboard! -- but
not the list of forms -- any ideas?

I did convert it back to an access 97 database and can view the object
panel in that version - just trying everything! has anyone ever heard
of such a thing and know of a fix???

I appreciate the asssistance. I was reading further after I posted my
request for help and decided to try something that was suggested to
solve another problem. I created a new database and imported the data
from the old one. Now the database objects are available in the new
database.
