Setting a new COLOR_APPWORKSPACE in Access 2003

Is anyone else having trouble setting a new COLOR_APPWORKSPACE in Access
2003. I can set all the other colors except this one. I am also using
WindowsXP 2003 Professional. Can this be an issue? I noticed that when I
tried to change a color scheme with a gray application background to another
background color it will default back to the original gray.

Thank you very much.

I don't have A2003 here to experiment, but I believe that it now supports
WinXP themes, which could be the reason why it ignores your custom window
settings. See if there is an option to disable theme support in A2003.
