Access IRC Help Channel?

hi
Hi,

Is there an IRC channel for help with access? I've created a form with
some fields from several tables. When I go to "Form View" the fields I
created with the wizard along with several label and text boxes that i've
have created in "design view" is not showing up at all. please help.
Thanks
ps i'm running access xp

I don't know if there is, or is not, an IRC channel for Access. This
newsgroup, and other newsgroups, provide very rapid response to precise and
concise questions. Sometimes, though, we have to ask for clarification, as I
must now.

A Form is bound to a single RecordSource. That RecordSource may be a Table
or it could be a Query or an SQL statement (both of which could include
multiple tables). You need to explain, just how you created the form with
"some fields from several tables". That is, what is the RecordSource of the
Form.

Forms' RecordSources contain Fields, but what you see on the Form that
displays the data from those Fields are Controls (Labels are controls for
displaying fixed text, Text Boxes are for displaying data from Fields or
variable data). Text boxes are "bound" to data Fields in the Record Source
by their Control Source property -- so we need also to know what is in the
Control Source of those that "aren't showing up".

Finally, when you say "not showing up", you need to be specific -- are the
labels not showing, are the Text Boxes themselves showing but with no data,
or are the Text Boxes not showing at all? Controls on a Form for which the
Record Source and Control Sources return no data will, indeed, not show at
all if the Form/Controls are not updateable to allow entry of data.

Perhaps with some additional information, we can be of some help.

Have you applied the Service Pack and any subsequent patches to Office
XP/Access 2002?
