"Unspecified Error" After a Few Thousand INSERTs

P: n/a
Using ADO (VB6),Access 2000, MDAC 2.8, under Win2K, if I simply run 3
computers simultaneously INSERTing a single record into a single table
on the server PC (adoConn.Execute strSQL) at a rate of about 1 per 4
seconds, eventually I'll get the infamous "Unspecified Error". Usually
after 3000 to 5000 records. It can happen on any of the machines and
will eventually happen to all. Restarting the application fixes it for
awhile, 'till it happens again.

I've tried keeping the connection open, open then close,
creating/destroying the connection for each INSERT, and most any other
combination of using recordsets and connections. I know "it's only
Access", but 5000 records at that rate isn't really burning it
up...any ideas?
