How make file readable for some and read and write for some users ?

meh

I have a very huge database in MS access 2000.

I want only few people to make changes to it and rest should be able to
display only.

Can someone please show me how to do it ?

Look in the Help system under Security.

The short answer is:

* create a workgroup security file
* create user groups and assign table permissions to the groups
* create user accounts and assign users to the groups
