Datefunction does not work: Access 97 - SQL server

I have made a quite big application on a SQL server platform and I'm using
Access 97. When I open a form the date of today does not show up when I use
the date function.

Are there any who have experience this.

It's possible that your references are improper and that is causing the Date
function to fail. It may not be the reference to the DLL that actually
contains Date. References are like apples; one bad one can spoil the whole
barrel.

Open any module, on the menu Tools | References and uncheck any marked
"Missing". You may have to add them back later, and you may have to browse
for the library when you do.
