Total Groups on a report

I have a report that has several groups on it.
I want to total for each group. My problem is that I group by a name and
under the name I have data that breaks out into several sub-groups for
that person. I want to total each sub-group individually.

The first sub-group totals ok. But when the next sub-group, for the same
person, is totaled up it adds the first sub-groups total the second
groups and gives me an overall total instead of just the total for the
second sub-group.

If this makes any sense and anyone can help I would be very greatful.

Thanks,
Michael Charney

If you create a Group Footer, totals will apply to the contents of that
Group. If you are using something other than a Report Group for your
"subgroups", that would be the problem. If you add a Grouping level for
those subgroups, and show the Group Footer for them, the totals should be
accurate.
