SQL Server to MS Acces

Hello,

I want to know how I can save data from a MySQL server in Ms Acces
format.
My situation:

pc1: a MySQL server running;
pc2: Access running + ODBC MySQL drivers.

I can see the data from the MySQL server in Access. This is a link -
as soon as the connection is down, I don't have the data anymore.

What I want is to save the data from the MySQL server on pc1 as a Ms
Access database on pc 2, essentially changing the linked data to a
static database. Kind of making a backup.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks,

Marc

You can do a File/GetExternalData/Import (not link) and select your OBDC
source. This will MAKE a table, not link it...IOW if you change the
data, it will not update the ODBC table.

You may want to check out TransferDatabase Method in help. If you want
to send the ODBC data to a text file and then import, see TransferText
method.
