Update a record

P: n/a
Hello

I have a table (tblInput) with many columns that needs to have data
updated from another table (tblConsolidated). tblConsolidated has
records in two columns that need to be appear in the tblInput. I
thought that an append qry would do this but it only adds records. Then
I thought update query but seems like it is used for math functions.

I only want to take the two columns from the tblConsolidated and replace
the data in tblInput for the exact same columns.

thank you

You can create an update query using the one table's values to update the
other's provided there is a linking field - a field that enables you to
match a record in one table with a specific record in the other.

Do you have such a field?
