advanced search functions (for photo database)?

Is it possible to create an Access database that searches on multiple
fields or can process multiple search keywords (for a photos database)
or is it best to just use third-party software such as ThumbsPlus? The
search capability in ThumbsPlus seems very good. I'm going through the
online tutorial now, but thought I should ask this in case there's a
way to create an advanced search function on your own in an Access
database.

I created a fuzzy search app once and it's at my site. It has a
"shareware" notice on it, but truth be told, I've never cared
about collecting. Not even sure it's what you need, but give it
a look. Maybe you'll get some ideas from it.

Come to think of it, I've got another applet that uses the same filter idea
to generate reports. It's kind of cool and worth a look.
