Sharing across Win platforms

P: n/a
I have an Access 97 database that has been shared on a network between 3
users. We could all open and work in the file simultaneously while we were
all using Windows 98. When one of us upgraded to XP, the others get locked
out while the XP user has the file open. Is there a setting that will allow
this file to be shared across these versions of Windows??

By the way, we are in a Novell network environment.

What is the "Default Open Mode" setting in the Access install on the XP
computer? It is on one of the tabs in Tools|Options. If the default is
Exclusive mode, this could cause the problem.
