Selecting from Text File Truncates Long Strings

P: n/a
Kim
Hello,

I am selecting data from a text file in the following format:

INSERT INTO [LockBox Info] SELECT * FROM " & sSource & " IN '' " & _
"'text;Database=" & sPath & ";FMT=Delimited;HDR=No' " & _
"WHERE [Record ID] = '01'"

Variable names are used for the file name, etc. But the problem lies
in the "SELECT *". We have strings that are larger than 254
characters that are cut off during this process. Is there a character
limit in selecting data from text files? And if so, is there a way to
expand this limit?

Thanks,
Kim
