Our company has rolled out an automated system to push updates for all
Microsoft products to PCs and I am now for the first time having users
experience the Outlook Security prompts (I'm actually surprised it has
taken this long).
I had heard about and was familiar with the prompt "A program is trying to
send an Email...", but apparently there is now a newer one saying "A
program is trying to access your address book...". As with the former, the
user has to indicate whether they want to allow this, but the prompt is a
bit different. This one has no 5 second delay on the [OK] button and it
also has an option for "Allow for n minutes" where n is selectable from 1
to 10.
All well and good I suppose....
My main problem/question is that I started experimenting with Redemption
for dealing with the prompts issues and am finding that it does not block
this newer prompt that concerns the address book. It does appear to be
blocking the older prompt just fine.
Has anyone else experienced this or know if there is a fix?
TIA
