Acc 97, expressions

Sometime, opening a shared database from a new equipment in a
workgroup some functions are not recognized, p.e. the expression
"len(p.k)>0" is sometime accepted and other time is not accepted.
There shall be changed to "len(p.k)>val(0)". We will appreciate if
somebody know whats going on?

If you open up a code module in the application on the
workstation/computer where you get the error, goto Tools/References.
There is probably a reference in the application to some library file,
maybe and mda, a dll or an ocx, etc. Some computers have the libary
file loaded and some don't. The computers that don't have the library
file loaded will give these strange errors. In Tools/References, if
there is a reference like that, it will say MISSING next to the
reference. See if that might be your situations. The solution is to
find the missing file on another computer and copy/register it to the
computer that does not have that file.

If you need to register such a file, you can goto Start/Run. In the Run
textbox type

regsvr32.exe C:\winnt\system32\DAO351.dll

for example. regsvr32.exe is a utility that comes with windows. It
could be also, that the computers with the problems have the needed
files, but the files are not registered. That is how you register the
file.
