Using access to complete company forms

Hi all!

Happy Holidays to all!

I work for a nonprofit 501.3.c case management agency. All of the
computers have MS ACCESS database software installed. Is it possible
to recreate agency forms in access (complete with logos) and have
Access complete needed forms?

For example: We take some identifing information at the first contact.
Name, address, telephone number, ect. Could access in turn insert
some of this information into blanks on the intake documents?

I appreciate that is somewhat sketchy description of the problem, but
any help would be appreciated.

If access can do this, could you refer me to a goof primer on how to
make this happen

Thanks

Access has something called "Forms" -- they are actually screens in which
you can enter/edit data. They need not look the same as printed forms for
you to be able to print the information entered on screen in an Access
"Report" that does replicate a printed form, with logo(s), if desired.

As for "Access completing needed forms", that would be a function of the
database application you design and create. Access can be a big help in
doing data entry...

A self-study that I recommend for the complete novice is "Microsoft Access
<versionnumber> Step by Step" from Microsoft Press. You can't start with an
advanced book, or you'll make the learning curve steeper.

There are superb resources available... particularly oriented to the most
recent version of Access, Access 2003, are the Access parts of Microsoft
Office Online,

the FAQ at http://www.mvps.org/access.
