Any way to record the progress of a query while it is running in Access 2000?

I am trying to give the user some indication of some progress of a
query since it takes about 5 hours to run. Is there any way to
extract the progress of a query WHILE it is running (or perform any
action for that fact)?

There are hidden, unsupported methods on the TSI Syndhronizer that will run
action queries... see http://trigeminal.com/ for details. You will basically
be able to have events for running action queries and getting the same
notifications that Access has for its own status bar.

And don't forget the "unsupported" part.... :-)
