Subreport question

I'm in a sad state, not knowing anyone who knows more than the little I do
about Access, so I'm having to learn it all from a book. Sometimes I just
can't find what I need to know.

People in my database may have made multiple payments recorded in the system
in a table linked to the Person table by Person#. In addition to other
information about the person in the report I'm producing, I need a list of
all of their payments. I assume that requires a subreport for payments, but
how do I get the subreport to show payments from just the specific person?
At the moment, my report shows each person's record properly, but beneath
each person's data is the entire subreport of payments, repeated identically
for each person. How do I do the filtering (by Person#) and where so that
the subreport doesn't show my whole database?

Thanks, David

I'm also new at munging my email address. I hope I'm doing it okay without
making it impossible to contact me. Of course I'll check here for replies.

Use the LinkMasterFields and LinkChildFields of the Subreport Control,
specifying the field that identifies the person in each the Person and
Payments records. That's the great strength of the Subform/Subreport
control -- that it can do what you describe with no code, no macros, just
property settings...
