Sudden shut down when saving a Query

When I go to close a Query to which I have made changes, I get prompted to
save it, I say yes, and then Access suddenly closes itself down and when I
reopen the database the Query has not been saved at all. Anyone know what
these two inter-related faults are all about?

Sounds suspiciously like corruption. Make a new, blank database and import
all your objects. Do this while you still can ... and I speak from
experience <grin>.

Tried that, and it did the same thing. Incidentally, Access seems very
prone to corruption in my experience, almost to the point that the risk of
losing data / general design work make it worth not bothering with in the
first place.
