Christian,
If I remember correctly I've seen this message when I assigned a user
defined Menu Bar or Toolbar to the form and then later deleted or renamed
the Menu Bar or Toolbar, therefore the form couldn't find the Menu Bar or
Toolbar anymore and gave this message, however, it usually happened when I
tried to open the form.
If this is not the case I would remove each control one at a time until the
message went away. The last control removed would be the offending one.
Alternatively, I would delete the offending combo box/text box, save the
form and then recreate the combo box and text box. You could also try a
/decompile this fixes many problems especially when you've been doing a lot
of code/form changes. You should also set the database to compact on close
as this will helps prevent many errors.

when I selected a text box or combo box in a form of my database. I
get two messages:
1)A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the
OLE Server or ActiveX control. close the OLE server and restart it
outside of Microsoft Access. Then try the original operation again in
Microsoft Access.
2}The expression After Update you entered as the even property setting
produced the following error:a problem occurred while Microsoft Access
was comunicating with the OLE server or ActiveX control
*the expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of
user-defined function, or [event procedure.
*there may been an error eveluating the function, event or macro.
I already checked the [event procedure] and macro in each of the text
and combo boxes of the form, but it doesn't work.
Does anybody know what this is?
