Access 2000 Developer Tools

Hi all,

Im trying to distribute Access 2000 APP. And I have a copy of "Office
2000 Premium SR-1" should this contain Developer Tools or is this
located elsewhere.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks Scott

No, the Premium wouldn't contain the Developer tools. And, IIRC, you cannot
buy just the Tools, you must buy the Developer Edition of Office 2000. Try
Ebay ...

I found a good FAQ here: http://www.programmingmsaccess.com/FAQs/MOD.htm

But is MOD only good for building Access Apps you intend to distribute? Is
there anything I can't do with Access 2003 that would convince me to develop
in MOD?

No, there isn't, but the Office Deveoper Edition does include some ActiveX
controls. Of course, the most useful of those perform functions that can be
done without an ActiveX, thus, simplifying distribution of your application.
But the Developer Edition is necessary if you want to distribute with the
runtime.

BTW, you don't "develop in" the Developer Tools... you continue to develop
in Access itself, and use the tools to package your database application for
distribution.
