Formatting data within a text box

Running Access 2002 (10.0)

Is it possible to format data within a text box (a) on a form or (b) on a
report?
E.g. botanical names in Latin: <Hydrangea macrophylla subsp. serrata>, with
the 'subsp.' in Regular and the rest in Italic.
VB suggestions welcome.
