Listbox does not allow me to detect a null value

A particular item in my listbox is null.

The field is of type currency.

I'm running Access 2000 - SP3

When I use the Isnull(orderitems.column(12,12)) it does not detect it.

Also, if i use the nz function it does not detect it either.

The listbox is getting the value from a query, I can observe that the
value is null and I tested it through the use of a textbox
txt131 = orderitems.column(12,12)

I've also used jet to determine that the value is null.

R.findfirst(critera)

isnull(R!GSTvalue) then ect.
This works.

I'm completely lost as to what to do now.

I need to perform operations based on this field and if it's null I
will get a type mismatch.

Thanks in advance.

I've found that in some cases, Access converts the data in combo box columns
to text. In this case, a Null will have been converted to an empty string,
and that's what you'll need to test for.
