Recordset without Connection

Hi

If I open object ADODB.Recordset without ADODB.Connection e.g.

With Rec
.Fields.Append "Field1", adChar, 60, adFldRowID
.Fields.Append "Field2", adChar, 60, adFldFixed
.Open , , adOpenStatic, adLockOptimistic
End With

Then I some loop append 100 records Does is possible execution query SQl on
this Rec ?

I would like to use ADO to sort data in Excel

Why not attach the Excel worksheet as a linked table.
Then you can run a query against it. Seems a much simpler solution.
