Form Data will not refresh

P: n/a
I have a form with a data source consisting of two linked tables,
tblComplaints and tblViolations. When I click on a checkbox to add a
violation related to the Complaint, I have used the AddNew method to add
a ViolationNo and other pertinent data.

Also the tab control Violations becomes visible and holds all the
controls relating to the Violation. I would like the newly entered data
to appear as well. It doesn't.

When I close then reopen the form and go to the record, the data appears.

I have tried Me.Refresh and Me.Requery. The latter jumps to the first
record. I have also tried requery just the controls, for example,
Me.ViolationNo.Requery. None of these worked. Then I tried going to the
Next record and then the Previous record. The data still does not show up.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to get the data to show up without
closing and and reopening the form?

Many thanks in advance.

Deborah:

I'm not exactly following you, but it sounds like your form designs
could use some tweaking.

Do you have a main form bound to Complaint with a subform bound to
Violations? I'm guessing that you don't.
