Opinions on ListCleaner ( WinPure ) ??

Anyone here tried ListCleaner by a company called WinPure
http://www.winpure.co.uk/lists (a data deduping software) in
comparison to other products that may be out there? Looks like some
companies like Hewlett Packard use this.

I am looking for a good (and inexpensive) datacleansing tool to dedupe
and standardise lists, happy to extract the data from database and
re-import it (which seems WinPure does) before incorporating it into
other BI tools. Tried MatchIt from help it systems but it is a bit
cumbersome.

Particularly interested in a tool with a good phonetic matching
engine, that handles multiple lists.

Mostly work with oracle, sql and access.
Recommendations appreciatated.

Every report I have heard on this indicated that it was a disaster. It
failed to find similarities that existed and found similarities that did
not exist;; some input tables were corrupted after exposure to this tool.

I strongly recommend hiring a database professional to develop a custom
import/cleanup application for your needs.

Hope this helps!

We've been using the WinPure product for about 5 months now and use it
constantly for keeping our customer database clean and dupe-free. It
does not have phonetic matching and can only clean one list at a time,
but its a brilliant tool that actually got recommended to us.
