In the Access 2002 mdb database I want to disable creating MDE files.

Schedule that to run every 5 minutes or so :-)

Ooh, that sounds draconian - I like it! <g>

Well, I wasn't thinking of crippling the IDE.

And come to think of it why worry if an MDE is created? I'm just
inclined/biased to distributing MDEs.
