exporting to excel currency as dates

Hi everyone.

Thanks again in advance for any help I can get.

I am running a function that runs a query and exports it to excel
using

DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel9,
"stoEstMax", "d:\database\STOstats.xls"

In this spreadsheet there are a few currency fields. In two of the
fields in about 2% of the rows the values appear as dates not amounts!
What the......????

Does anyone know what this is and how to get around it?

:)

Have you tried formatting the values as currency in Excel?
