Form Load event is executed by closing the application

P: n/a
It seems a bug in access. When you open any form in MS Access XP and
move to another record from where the form started, and then close the
Access application, the FormLoad event will be executed while closing.
You can prove this if you'll place a call to MsgBox in FormLoad.

Any response will be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't have XP here to check, but ... !

You say >FormLoad<. I assume you mean, >Form_Load<? Are you sure there isn't
some other code, in the form module, that explicitly calls that procedure?

I tried and cannot duplicate what you experience. My form was created with
the Wizard and displayed the Northwind Categories table in continuous forms
view. I added a Command Button to quit the application, using the Wizard. I
put a MsgBox in the Form's Load event; it displayed only once, when the form
was opened. It did not display again when the Application closed.

My O/S is Win 2000 Pro and both it and Office XP are up-to-date with SPs and
patches.

I'd follow TC's advice and search the modules for any other reference to the
name of the Form's Load event procedure, as a first step. Well, as a second
step if you are not up-to-date on SPs and patches.
