Distributing add-in with references

I have some functionality that I am thinking of turning into an MDE add-in
for others to use. However, it contains references to the common controls
6.0 ocx (mscomctl.ocx), the calendar control (mscal.ocx) and DAO 3.60.

Can this be done and what is the best way to distribute?
Do I need to distribute these files?
If so then I assume they must be installed into the same locations?
