How do I use a text file as a database ?

I am trying to populate a vb6 datagrid control using the
adodc control and a database file. Everything works
well when I use an ms access database, but if I try to
use a text database it doesn't seem to work. Any
ideas ?
thanks

This is a VB6 question, not an Access question... try the VB newsgroup.
