Remedy for File Corruption

I have been working for several years on an Access application (front end
mdb) which is now about 15 meg. The data is in a different mdb and the
tables are linked to the front end mdb.

In the past few weeks, I have been getting more and more instances of mdb
corruption - it's become a 2/3 times a week occurence.

Sometimes one of the modules will go bad. Yesterday I changed the name of a
form and the mdb was corrupted. Apparently the area where the mdb stores
form info was corrupted. Opening some forms caused Access to crash. I
noticed that when I tried to open a form in design mode, Access would
actually open a different form.

I am at a loss - I'm used to software where each form is a separate file(s),
there are module libraries etc, so these problems are contained and fixable.

To fix it, I make a new mdb, then import all liks, modules, etc. Some
objects can be imported from the corrupt mdb, but others have to be imported
from an earlier clean version.

I there anyplace where repair of corrupt mdb's is discussed? Any 3rd party
tools? Any advice?

Many thanks
Mike Thomas
