Reports don't always run

P: n/a
I created a button that loops through code and ultimately
puts 6 reports on the users screen for review. The
problem I'm having is that sometimes the computer says the
database is not responding then fails to produce the
reports. If we try again later, they all run with no
problems. Is this due to network traffic? Some of the
data resides on a shared network drive.

Sounds like a network traffic problem because the error is sporadic.
My guess is that the times it doesn't work coincide with high network
traffic. Your front end and back end are split, right? (Data in the
backend, everything else in the front and everyone with his own copy
of the front on his local computer?) If not, start by splitting
properly... If that's already done, there's something going on on your
network...
