office 9 reference

Hi

My pc had office xp previously. I uninstalled it and installed office 2000
instead. Now while in the references I see word/excel/outlook 9.0
references, the office reference is for 10.0 (xp). Is there a way to get rid
of it and bring back office 9.0 reference?

Hi John,

Try searching your hard drive for the file named MSO9.DLL
(3rd digit is letter "O", not zero), which is the version for Office 9 (2000).
If you can find this file, then try clicking on the browse button found in the
Tools > References dialog box. If you cannot find this file, then perhaps
Windows XP is being too helpful and is automatically restoring the newer version
for you?

The version for Office 10 (XP) is named MSO.DLL.
