Attn. Steve Jorgensen - blat SMTP mailer

TC
Hi Steve

Some time ago I told you about the "blat" SMTP mailer. You said you would
look into it. I'm now planning on using it myself.

I've tried the DLL version, & am having a problem with the -install option.
It works - ie. it adds the relevant info. to the registry - but it never
returns from the call. Access instantly quits! There are no otherr error
effects or messages that I can see. So this would make it impractical to use
that option from within an application. I'm probably just doing something
wrong.

From memory ('cos I don't have Access on this PC), this is what I've tried:

private declare function sendit lib "blat.dll" alias Send (byval sCmd as
string) as integer
...
msgbox sentit ("-install <whatever - I can't quite remember!>")

- Did you get around to trying blat?

- If so, did you try the EXE or the DLL?

- Did you have any problems with either of them?

TIA,
TC

I did try Blat, and I had very good luck with it. I didn't use the DLL,
though (I don't know if there was even one available). I simply shelled
out to the executable.
