Report question: 2 columns of data

FZ
Hi all,
Was wondering if someone could answer this report question for me.
What I want to do is print 2 columns on the report, with each column's
data pulling from the same fields. BUT, I want each column to
represent a different record, not the same record. Does that make
sense?

For example, say this is my report layout:

Field1 Field1
Field2 Field2
Field3 Field3

I DON'T want the report to look like this:

Tom Tom
123 Main Street 123 Main Street
USA USA

I want it to process a separate record, like this:

Tom Rich
123 Main Street 456 West Sixth
USA USA

Is this possible? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi

Looks like you could use a method for printing
address labels. See help for specifics on:

MoveLayout
NextRecord
PrintSection

In outline, you do this:

In report design view, set up the two columns in
Page Setup on the File menu. Make the detail
section just one column wide - ie, only put the
field controls once in the report design.

Write some code for the report's detail section to
loop through the report's recordset in vba, using the
above three properties (in the loop) to PrintSection,
MoveLayout (move to next column) and change to
the NextRecord.

HTH. Regards

Just realised you don't need to use those
properties or write code for the Print Event of
the detail section if you're not skipping columns
or repeating labels, ie you'll do OK with just the
settings in the Page Setup screen.
