myodbc with windows xp

Hi,
I'm having a problem with linking up tables using Myodbc in a windows xp
machine.
I have added the new user in the mysql database and have given the
permissions but
when I try to link the tables from access i get [mysql][odbc 3.51 database]
can't connect mysql server on IPADDRESS

I hope u can help with the problem.

You need to enter the ipaddress of the mysql server - such as 192.168.1.2
