Active Application LostFocus and GotFocus Issue

P: n/a
I have a combobox that when the form opens it sets the focus to the
combobox and displays the items in the list using the this VBA
Me!cbobox.dropdown The user typically has to leave the application
and do some research in another application (not Access). At this
point I believe the application/form looses the focus. When the user
returns to the Access application I want to fire the
Me.cbobox.dropdown event (if null) and when the application/form
receives the focus. Do I need an API or some code in another form
event to make this work?

I don't think an API is needed.
On the form-level I think the on activate event-procedure is the best
hook to detect the return to the form. This procedure could do the
setfocus and dropdown action when needed. Then the procedure should
also work when the form is opened the first time. (I did not test this
...)
