Hello All

Can you please help me with a problem, I'm only looking for a starting point
as I am a long way from even knowing exactly what I want to do. Here's the
basics anyway, any help much appreciated.

I have a database table containing a schedule, Dates, Locations, Who, Job
Details etc. This information can be entered in a variety of ways, via forms,
queries, and directly into the table. Records can be edited, added or
deleted as the plan changes.

I would like to be able to run a query that lists all the changes made to
the table since a certain date and time. (i.e. list all the records that
have been deleted, added or changed since yesterday)

I have a feeling that I may have to change the way we enter data so that it
is always in a form, thus enabling a way of coding actions when items are
changed, deleted or added ? Also I imagine this code would in fact be
populating a new table with the changes so that deleted record information
can be copied to it? But though I would check first to see if I am
reinventing a wheel that Bill has already built in to the guts of access?
Regards
Steve

Steve,
yes, you'll have to disallow users direct access to tables, and
probably action queries too. Then you'll have to write to a log table
before your events do anything. I think Allen Browne has code for it
on his website. It's like "event Logger" or something.
