Tables-default value

P: n/a
Hi all!

Is there a way to manipulate default value at table level, with code? I want
the user to be able to alter the default value of fields in a table, without
access directly to the tables. The tables are linked to the frontend.
I am using Access 2002.

While this can be done programmatically, it's fairly effortful.
If you could explain a bit more of your problem, there may be another
approach.

For example, you may be able to set the default for the textbox displaying
the field, thus keeping your operations entirely in the front end.

Thank you for you reply.
I have one table to hold values that the user select for the application. I
have some problems to assign a value to a textbox from that table. In the
textbox default value I have tryed this expression =[myTable].[myField] but
it do not seems to work.

You should use the form's load or current event to set the default value of
your controls
eg:
me.txtSomeField.defaultValue = dlookup(myfield, mytable...
