Open File in other folder

I have:

Set eWB = e.Workbooks.Open("Book1.xls")

Where e is DIM'd as an Excel.Application and eWB as an Excel.Workbook.

This file opens fine.

This file is in folder "ThisFolder" along with the .mdb file.

Now, my question concerns, how do I get a file that is in a folder one
up, such as "UpperFolder" is the name of the folder that contains
"ThisFolder" and "Book2.xls" is in "UpperFolder".

how about passing the full path to the file?

Are you sure? I have to provide the full path like
"C:\ThisFolder\Book1.xls", otherwise it won't work, even with a
ChDir "C:\ThisFolder\" before.
